This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.
Artist's Description
Originally written in 1885 by Captain George Thatcher Balch, a Union Army officer in the Civil War, the Pledge of Allegiance has undergone revisions several times over the years to what it today. The most recent alteration was made in 1954, when the words, "under God" were added.
In a patriotic mood, I added the words to a red and white striped star shape I created. It is on a blue background and framed in white with a red border.

Although I have no formal training in photography, I have always enjoyed taking pictures. Photography has been a hobby for over 30 years: from the simplicity of a tele-instamatic camera, to learning the intricacies of the more challenging 35mm. I explored 35mm low light photography at Mardi Gras parades with my dad's old Argus camera which had no light attachment. Also used it on vacations, still getting by without any light attachment - the camera was so old an attachment could no longer be purchased for it, if it in deed was ever available. Later, I purchased a Yashica 35GSN and had the ability to use external lighting with it. Eventually I added an APS camera to the mix and in recent years have gone digital. I have truly enjoyed the...

I remember as a child in elementary school standing every morning with my classmates with our right hands on our hearts reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. It was always followed by a patriotic song.
